If there was any doubt that Jaycee Horn would be a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, he likely ended all speculation on Wednesday.

The South Carolina cornerback is not only going to be drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he may very well be the top cornerback to come off the board following his incredible performance during South Carolina’s Pro Day event in Columbia.

During his 40-yard dash run, Horn timed in at 4.39 according to multiple scouts in attendance.

Horn, having the benefit of participating in his Pro Day event after Patrick Surtain — likely Horn’s top competitor to be the first cornerback selected in the draft — participated in Alabama’s Pro Day event on Tuesday, made sure he got 19 reps on the bench press for the scouts in attendance in Columbia.

Surtain put up 18 reps during Alabama’s Pro Day.

The Gamecock defensive back also registered a 41-inch vertical jump, an 11-foot 1-inch broad jump and measured in with 33-inch arms.

Combine those numbers with Horn’s production on the field at South Carolina and it’s going to be difficult for NFL teams to pass on the cornerback by the time the 2021 NFL Draft arrives.
