Winning is big money in college football. Witnessing winning costs big money, too.

Fresh off its 9-win season, South Carolina announced on Thursday that it’ll be raising its prices for season tickets. The increase will be $50 more than they were in 2017, which breaks down to $7 per home game.

“We’ve come a long way in the last eight years,” South Carolina AD Ray Tanner said in a release. “Prior to this decade, we were finding our way in the SEC. Since 2010, we have achieved broad-based success in our athletics program. We have established a solid foundation and are now ready to take it to the next level, but we need to continue to maximize our resources to help us achieve our goals.”

That’ll mark the first increase in ticket prices since 2013. Last season, South Carolina ranked ninth in the SEC in season ticket prices. Overall, the Gamecocks athletic department ranks 10th in the SEC in spending.

South Carolina does return plenty of talent in the third season of the Will Muschamp era. The Gamecocks could be picked to finish second in the SEC East in the preseason poll.

According to the release, specific information on these increases and payment plan options will be available at GamecocksOnline.com.
