South Carolina linebacker Stone Blanton announced Saturay night that he will be entering the transfer portal after 2 seasons in Columbia.

The former 4-star prospect out of Mississippi will look elsewhere for his final 2 seasons of eligibility. He first started seeing legitimate action this season and posted a strong 52 total tackles with 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 3 pass deflections and 1 interception, which was returned for a touchdown against Jacksonville State.

Here’s Blanton’s post on social media Saturday night:

South Carolina has lost a lot yet added a lot out of the transfer portal. Its transfer departures alongside Blanton include standout WR Juice Wells, WR O’Mega Blake and former running back Mario Anderson, who committed to USC this past week.

Its additions are nice, too. Rocket Sanders is heading to Columbia out of Arkansas, as is former Pitt edge DeAndre Jules, former Georgia Tech edge Kyle Kennard and former North Texas RB Oscar Adaway.
