Spencer Rattler took some time to reflect on his time as South Carolina’s starting quarterback this weekend.

Saturday was likely the final game of his career as a Gamecock, as the 16-7 loss to Clemson ended any chance of a bowl game. When speaking to the media, Rattler reflected on his time at South Carolina.

It was a blessing,” Rattler said. “I wanted to come somewhere where the fan base was very loyal, and always had each other’s back and the player’s backs. I feel like this fan base is the best the country.

Every game sold out. Win or loss, they are showing up. Supporting the players.”

Rattler during his time as the quarterback at South Carolina finished with a record of 13-12, while throwing for 6,212 yards,  37 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. His best game as the South Carolina was the major upset against Tennessee last year, when he threw for 438 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Rattler accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl earlier this month and is expected to be picked at some point in the 2024 NFL Draft.
