South Carolina was threatening to lose its game against Jacksonville State Saturday, which would be rock bottom in what has been a rough season.

Stone Blanton made sure the Gamecocks didn’t stoop that low on Saturday.

South Carolina led by 3 late in the game, but Jacksonville State was marching down the field and looking like it was in good position to score. Blanton then intercepted Gamecocks quarterback Zion Webb, taking it all the way to the house for a game-saving pick-6 that put South Carolina up 10.

On the next drive, South Carolina got another crucial interception that sealed the game for the Gamecocks.

The win for South Carolina snapped a 4-game losing streak and gave the Gamecocks some momentum heading into the final 3 games of the season.
