A former Georgia commitment that ultimately signed with Oklahoma has entered the transfer portal following the hiring of Lincoln Riley at USC. Jadon Haselwood, the No. 1 receiver in the class of 2019 and its No. 4 player overall according to 247Sports, made the announcement on his Twitter account on Monday.

Haselwood, who made 39 catches for 399 yards and 6 touchdowns for the Sooners in 2021, pledged to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs in March 2017 and remained committed until Oct. 2018. He eventually committed to and signed with Oklahoma in Jan. 2019, raising some eyebrows when he called the Bulldogs’ staff “fake” during an interview posted to YouTube. Haselwood later said the comments were taken “out of proportion” while remaining critical of Jim Chaney, who departed Georgia for Tennessee during Haselwood’s recruitment.

“In recruiting (coaches) demand loyalty from the players, but the coaches are not held to the same standard,” he stated.

We’ll see where Haselwood ultimately continues his college career.
