Brett Minnich provided a jolt to Texas A&M Friday, putting the first run on the board for the Aggies with an impressive solo home run.

After Ole Miss had jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Minnich stepped into the box with 1 out in the bottom of the 2nd. With a 2-1 count, Minnich got a pitch low and inside, and he did not miss it.

Minnich cleared the right-centerfield wall with what was tracked as a 450-foot blast. That home run also left the yard with a 106 MPH exit velocity.

Minnich has been slowed due to injuries this season, and his home run is his first hit and home run of the season since returning to the lineup. He returned to action against Texas but went 0-for-3 with an HBP.

It looks like he’s feeling better based on that swing, and we’ll see if he’s able to capitalize on it moving forward.
