Former Texas A&M DB sounds off on negativity around Aggies: ‘The hate for us is creepy’

It’s been a tough week for Texas A&M football. The Aggies 17-14 home loss to Appalachian State costs the program $1.5 million. And Texas A&M’s uninspiring effort on offense has raised questions about Jimbo Fisher and his large contract.
Former Aggies defensive back Leon O’Neal Jr. is sick of people badmouthing his alma mater and went to Twitter to express himself.
People wake up in the morning think and talk about A&M and wonder why we remain relevant… The hate for us is creepy at this point… I’m over it

Creepy? That’s different.
O’Neal Jr. was a multi-year starter for the Aggies. He signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in May, but O’Neal was waived from the team with an injury settlement near the end of August.
Meanwhile the Aggies, now ranked 24th in the polls, will have a chance to recover from last week’s disappointment when they welcome #13 Miami to Kyle Field.
