Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies looked to have righted the ship after a stunning Week 2 loss to Appalachian State in College Station.

The following 2 games, the Aggies took down ranked Miami and Arkansas squads, improving to 3-1 on the season.

But, in Week 5, a trip to Starkville proved to be too much to handle. The Aggies trailed 14-0 at halftime and the offense couldn’t get anything going in what turned into A&M’s second loss of the season. Mississippi State ended up pounding the Aggies 42-24. It’s mind-boggling that a Mike Leach-coached team is tougher than the Aggies, but here we are.

Naturally, that had fans questioning Jimbo Fisher’s offense. Here’s some of the vitriol directed at the Aggies’ coach on social media:

Yes, it’s hard to win on the road in the SEC, and particularly in the SEC West. But, the Aggies entered the 2022 season with College Football Playoff hopes. Those dreams are now dead after yet another disappointing loss in the Jimbo Fisher era.

We’ll see what the rest of this season holds for the Aggies as they make a trip to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama next weekend.
