Johnny Manziel’s pro football career may not be over after all.

According to TMZ Sports, Manziel is in “serious talks” to join a new pro league “Fan Controlled Football,” which will debut in February 2021.

“Fan Controlled Football” is similar to the old arena league; however, fans get to call plays and set lineups. Currently, there are 4 teams, and the owners include Quavo, Richard Sherman, Deestroying, Bob Menery, Trevor May, Marshawn Lynch, Mike Tyson, Miro, Greg Miller and Austin Ekeler. The league has a deal to live stream games on Twitch.

Here’s the snippet under the “Meet The Owners” section on the league’s website.

Each of the four FCF teams has an Ownership Group with a unique style and vision. They’ve already worked with the fans of their squad to pick their name and logo – soon enough they will be drafting players and calling plays. We don’t want any bandwagon fans in the FCF, so pick the team you think will win it all and start helping call the shots today.

Manziel said his pro career is “in the past” just 6 months ago, and it looks like he’s had a change of heart, assuming the talks are serious to join the league.

The former Aggies quarterback remains one of the most electrifying SEC players of all-time. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round (22nd pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. Following his short 2-year NFL career, Manziel played for the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2018) and the Montreal Alouettes (2018).
