Can you imagine if Johnny Manziel returned for another year at Texas A&M?

Following his first practice with the Cleveland Browns, he was wishing he made that decision.

A candid Manziel joined Kevin Hart on the comedian’s YouTube show “Cold as Balls,” and he spoke about the environment in Cleveland and his time at A&M.

“At the time, all my boys, everyone in my corner was telling me, ‘You don’t want to go to Cleveland.’ Like, ‘(Expletive) that! (Expletive) that!’ I was more optimistic about it. I looked at the players they (Browns) had, I was cool with it,” Manziel told Hart.

“Once I landed and went to Berea, Ohio, for the first time I was like, ‘Can I go back to college?’ I don’t know anybody. I don’t know where I’m at. It’s cold.”

Once Manziel exploded onto the scene in College Station, he instantly became a celebrity, and he admitted to Hart that he couldn’t help “but eat it up.”

“A kid from where I’m from—20,000 people—we don’t get the chance to meet celebrities,” Manziel said. “Much less meet everyone that you would want or have the chance to talk to them at the tip of your finger. … So, after that first year, after the fame and everything started to come, I couldn’t help but eat it up.”

Manziel is still arguably the SEC’s most exciting player in the last 20 years. Of course, Tim Tebow and Cam Newton, among others, would have something to say about that, but Manziel literally ran circles around SEC defenses and pretty much did what he wanted.

Despite playing just two seasons at Texas A&M, Manziel threw for 7,820 yards and 63 TDs, while rushing for 2,169 yards and 30 TDs. Those numbers will never not be ridiculous.
