Kevin Sumlin expects to remain Texas A&M’s head football coach in 2018.

Sumlin met with media on Tuesday in College Station and commented on coaching rumors that he might be let go this season. When asked if he thought he would be the coach next year, his response was simple:

“Why wouldn’t I?” he asked.

Sumlin’s Aggies squad is currently 7-4 and tied for fourth in the SEC West.

He said he hasn’t heard of any kind of change in regards to him not being the coach in College Station next season:

Sumlin believes he’s running his program the right way.

At the end of the day, though, as Sumlin knows, it’s all about winning. Coming into this season, Sumlin had posted three consecutive 8-5 records in as many years.
