The pageantry of college football is almost as important as the game being played on the field come Saturdays. In the SEC, it’s a different feel compared to other programs.

Miami might hail from SEC country since Florida calls the conference home, but the atmosphere on gamedays is vastly different in the 305 area code compared to anywhere else. And while Hurricane fans might love the glitz and glamour of Hard Rock Stadium, few places hold a candle to Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, on Saturday nights.

One Canes fan who attended Saturday’s showdown between Miami and Texas A&M wasn’t afraid to admit the differences between to two schools, calling his experience “incredible.”

The No. 24 Aggies rebounded in front of a packed Kyle Field to pick up a 17-9 win. New Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson threw for 140 yards, connecting with running back Devon Achane for a 25-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

A&M’s defense was the highlight of the night. Down 3 starters for the second half, the Aggies pressured quarterback Tyler Van Dyke into settling for dump passes over deep shots. Van Dyke, a projected 1st round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, finished 21-of-41 passing for 217 yards.

The Aggies were outgained by Miami 392-264, but 2 touchdowns compared to 3 field goals was enough to get the job done. A&M will now travel to AT&T Stadium in Arlington next Saturday to face No. 10 Arkansas.
