The 2024 SEC schedule release takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday night on SEC Network.

The additions of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC throws a bit of a wrench into a formatted schedule the SEC has come to know. There are some things we know about the 2024 schedule release already, though: each returning SEC member will play one of Oklahoma or Texas in 2024, divisions have been done away with and each SEC team will play an 8-game conference schedule for at least the 2024 season.

Specifics about each team will be announced in time, but reports are starting to trickle in that point to some interesting matchups and locations across the conference.

Wednesday morning, TexAgs.com co-owner Billy Liucci reported that the Aggies will host LSU and Texas at Kyle Field, to go with a matchup against Notre Dame in College Station. Texas A&M will also reportedly play on the road at Florida.

Perhaps more importantly, the Aggies will not face either of Georgia or Alabama in the regular season, according to the report.

A few other leaks have found their way to Twitter Wednesday morning, including the nugget that Georgia will travel to Alabama for a regular season showdown. A decent amount will be on the line in that one, we’d say.

Texas (Longhorns) is also reported to be playing Oklahoma in Dallas and Arkansas in Fayetteville.
