Texas A&M had to re-live its difficult loss to Alabama in the latest SEC Shorts episode, as the Aggie dealt with Playoff minstrels.

“Of course this loss I’m sure has stung, because you made Milroe look like Bryce Young,” they sang. “And now you must go forth and scratch and claw, and hope Bama loses to Arkansas. And let’s be real that’s gonna be tough.”

The Aggie’s request to be quiet is ignored, and the band shifted into a Jermaine Burton verse.

“Maybe we should double cover him in the seam, another 4th and 1 let’s send out the punt team,” they sang.

Then the Aggie shot back: “OK, we were playing the percentages all right. And punting on 4th and 1 is a legitimate — why am I arguing with a minstrel group that can’t even afford a loop player. Go to sleep!”

Undaunted, they group continued: “On the 8th false start penalty the Tide they gave to you, a chance to win the game, which you blew.”

The Aggie then lamented a loss to Alabama’s backup punter, and tried to release the minstrels from service.

But that didn’t go over well. Instead, they read a decree from “Lord Sankey” that explained that all teams should carry with them a band of merry Playoff minstrels with the goal of making the College Football Playoff.

Then Miami caught some strays.
