Yes, Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin attended a Rick Ross concert with Johnny Manziel two years ago in Miami following Alabama’s win over Notre Dame in the national championship game.

But no, he wasn’t ‘the life of the party’ as rapper Stalley suggested last year on ESPN’s ‘Highly Questionable’, Sumlin says.

During Tuesday’s appearance at ESPN’s ‘Car Wash’ in Bristol, Sumlin downplayed the postgame event as a “party” and said it was a routine concert in South Beach.

“What’s his name, he made that up,” Sumlin told ESPN in reference to Stalley. “He made it up. That didn’t happen.”

“I may have gone … but it wasn’t a party,” Sumlin said. “It was a concert. You guys know I’ve been to different concerts, here and there, and there have been pictures taken. I had an opportunity to see Rick Ross at the national championship game, right after the game. There were a lot of people there.

“It’s like everything else … everything gets lumped into something. Yeah, I like to go to concerts. I’ve been to a few, you know that.”
