Terry Bussey committed to Texas A&M in September, but didn’t sign with the Aggies in December. That led to discussion that the 5-star athlete from Timpson, Texas considered LSU and Georgia.

Ultimately, Bussey stuck with the Aggies, and signed with them on Wednesday’s signing day. Bussey is the nation’s No. 1 ranked athlete by the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 11 player overall in the Class of 2024.

Bussey was recruited to the Aggies by TJ Rushing and Bryant Gross-Armiento.

Georgia made a late push for Bussey after his initial finalists were Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and LSU.

Bussey is listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds and has competed in track and field while also playing basketball and baseball throughout his high school career. Bussey has played all across the football field at the high school level, and shown his versatility on offense and defense.

When Bussey committed in September, the Aggies held the No. 3 recruiting class for 2024 per the 247 Sports Team Composite. Bussey was the second 5-star addition for Jimbo Fisher this cycle.

The Aggies are now ranked No. 22 among recruiting classes.
