Texas A&M continues to add to its future schedules and has pegged a 2024 game with McNeese State. The Cowboys are the second Southland Conference team that is on a future Aggie schedule following Sam Houston State in 2022.

McNeese, which announced the game, and Texas A&M played in 2001, which was a 38-24 Texas A&M victory.

The Southland Conference is a popular group of foes for the Aggies.

Since 2010, A&M has played an FCS team each season, except in 2011. Seven of those nine FCS meetings came against members of the Southland Conference, including this year’s game against Lamar. Texas A&M is scheduled to face the Southland’s Abilene Christian next season.

The 2024 season is particularly interesting because it includes games against Notre Dame and Georgia, both at Kyle Field. The Aggies also face Bowling Green. The Notre Dame game is set to open the season.

The Dallas Morning News noted that A&M’s matchup against Arkansas in 2024 will be the final meeting between the two schools at AT&T Stadium in Arlington under the current contract. With the Aggies being the designated home team that season, A&M will likely schedule two more non-conference games at home to give the Aggies seven games at Kyle Field.
