Texas A&M added a key player to its 2024 recruiting class on Friday afternoon.

The Aggies earned a commitment from 4-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley. He chose Texas A&M over programs such as Oklahoma, Texas and LSU, amongst others.

Here’s his announcement:

McKinley is a major pickup for Texas A&M in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 38 overall player and the No. 7 defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 1 player from the state of Louisiana.

He attends Acadiana High School in Lafayette, Louisiana. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds.

McKinley took an official visit to College Station back in June. He also made trips to Norman, Austin and Columbus before making this decision.

Texas A&M now has 21 commits in the class of 2023. The group is ranked No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
