Texas A&M defeated Tennessee 85-69 on Saturday night in College Station.

The Aggies never trailed in this game and controlled things from start-to-finish. This win gives A&M its 5th Quad 1 win of the year — something that will surely help Buzz Williams’ squad as they’re being evaluated on Selection Sunday.

Texas A&M had one of its most efficient offensive performances of the year in addition to dominating the offensive glass as it usually does. The Aggies’ offense scored 1.23 points per possession and posted an offensive rebounding rate of 38.7%. Anderrson Garcia completely dominated on the boards as he collected 17 total rebounds — including 9 offensive — off the bench.

Wade Taylor and Tyrece Radford were the stars of the show for the Aggies. Radford poured in 27 points and 5 assists while Taylor added 25 points and 7 dimes. According to ESPN, it’s just the 3rd time in the last 25 seasons that 2 teammates have each produced 25 points and 5 assists in a win over a top-10 team.

Texas A&M was projected as a No. 10 seed in the NCAA Tournament entering the weekend, according to the latest bracketology update from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi. At 15-8 overall and 6-4 in SEC play, the Aggies are trending toward safely being in the field of 64 on Selection Sunday.

Texas A&M will face Vanderbilt on the road on Tuesday.
