Texas A&M is down another coach, as the school parted ways with offensive line coach B.J. Anderson on Thursday. Kevin Sumlin announced the move on Thursday. Anderson will not coach in the bowl game.

After Sumlin’s announcement, Texas A&M sent out a release late Thursday afternoon that Anderson was leaving the program. Anderson made $340,000 at Texas A&M this season.

Anderson came with Sumlin from Houston in 2012. He inherited a line full of NFL talent, such as Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews, recruited by former head coach Mike Sherman. After losing those two first round draft picks over the last two years, the Aggies offensive line struggled in 2014, one of the big reasons for the team falling to 7-5.

In April, ESPN chose Anderson as the nation’s top recruiter. Losing him is another blow to Aggies recruiting, as they’ve already lost former recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach David Beaty, who took the head coaching job at Kansas. The Aggies also fired defensive coordinator Mark Snyder after the regular season finale against LSU.

According to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman, graduate assistant Chris Smith will coach the offensive line for the Liberty Bowl on Dec. 30.
