Texas A&M has decided on Conner Weigman as the starting quarterback for Saturday night’s game against No. 15 Ole Miss, according to multiple reports.

This will be an important game to get the season on the right track, and Texas A&M hopes to bring new life to the team with Weigman as the starter on offense. Weigman will be making his 1st start at Texas A&M and will try to get a win in a big game.

Weigman will be replacing sophomore quarterback Haynes King. Last week, King suffered a shoulder injury and left the game against South Carolina. Weigman came in to replace King after the injury. That was Weigman’s first appearance in a college game. Weigman threw for 91 yards and completed 8 of 15 attempted passes.

For Saturday’s game, Weigman will have an opportunity to take down a ranked Ole Miss team. Ole Miss heads into this meeting with a loss to LSU. That was Mississippi’s 1st loss of the season, and the Rebels want to get back to winning against Texas A&M.

There will be pressure on Weigman to give the Aggies a chance to win the game. Texas A&M enters this game with a 3-4 record.

Texas A&M will look to snap a 3-game losing streak on Saturday.
