Texas A&M has officially locked up another future Power 5, non-conference opponent.

According to a university news release Tuesday, the Aggies will take on Miami in a home-and-home series in 2022 and 2023. The Hurricanes are slated to visit Kyle Field on Sept. 17, 2022, before Texas A&M takes a trip to Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 9 of the following year.

“We are excited to announce this home-and-home series with the Hurricanes of Miami,” Aggies athletic director Scott Woodward said in the news release. “Texas A&M and Miami are two of the premier, tradition-rich and storied football programs in the country.”

The future schedule will revive a home-and-home series the schools played less than a decade ago. Miami beat Texas A&M 34-17 at home in 2007 then won a 41-23 game at Kyle Field in 2008.

The teams’ only other meeting was a 70-14 Hurricanes victory in 1994.

The Aggies are in the midst of a home-and-home with UCLA and will enter a similar series with Clemson in 2018 and 2019. Texas A&M has a home-and-home with Colorado the following two seasons before taking on Miami and will follow that up with a series against Notre Dame in 2024 and 2025.
