Wade Taylor IV picked up a national award on Monday after a week in which he led Texas A&M to big wins over Tennessee and Missouri.

Taylor averaged 21.5 points in the 2 victories, including 25 in the Aggies’ upset of the Volunteers. Taylor also cashed in 5 3-pointers and gave 7 assists. Overall, he averaged 21.5 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 2.5 steals during the week.

Taylor continues to be one of the best guards around, and has led the Aggies to a 15-8 record while leading the in scoring average (19.9), assists (87), steals (51), 3-pointers (59) and free throws (111).

He is the nation’s leading scorer among players with at least 80 assists and 50 steals.

Texas A&M returns to action this week at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and at Alabama on Saturday. The Aggies sit tied for 5th in the SEC with a 6-4 record with Florida and Kentucky behind Alabama, South Carolina, Auburn and Tennessee.
