Due to the overwhelming interest in Tennessee’s 2016 opener against Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway, event organizers are promoting ‘Battle Friday’, a one-day chance to purchase tickets to next year’s showdown.

Jerry Caldwell, general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway, said Thursday that tickets for the ‘Battle at Bristol’ will go on sale Friday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the speedway’s box office.

“We continue to see great interest in the game and there is high demand for tickets – that’s why we created Battle Friday – it gives us an opportunity to provide our local community a chance to get tickets,” Caldwell said. “We also want to provide others the ability to be a part of college football’s biggest ever game by introducing a Battle at Bristol ticket lottery.”

According to a press release, tickets will be priced at $40, $50 and $80, plus tax. Each household has the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets.

Fans who can’t make it to the speedway on Oct. 2 can enter a ticket lottery at BattleAtBristoltix.com that runs through Nov. 2.
