When the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets face off at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday night, the Vols will already be at a disadvantage.

According to coach Butch Jones, the Yellow Jackets — based out of Atlanta — have already gotten a chance to practice at the new stadium ahead of Monday’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.

Via 247Sports, Jones said on a weekly radio appearance that he feels Georgia Tech now has the advantage and his team will have to make the most of a short walk-through on Sunday:

โ€œWe will go on Sunday and weโ€™ll do a walk-through, and weโ€™ll catch punts and weโ€™ll catch kickoffs,โ€ Jones said during his weekly appearance on 104.5 The Zoneโ€™s โ€œ3HL.โ€

โ€œThey already have an advantage on us because we were told that they were inside the dome practicing with full pads for a two-hour practice (Tuesday). They got a phone call. Weโ€™ll have to make the most of our walk-through on Sunday when we get there, and I know our players are looking forward to it.โ€

The Vols will take on the Yellow Jackets on Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The game can be seen on ESPN.
