This week, highly sought-after recruit Sav’ell Smalls made a trip to Knoxville to take in the Tennessee recruiting experience and hear the pitch from Jeremy Pruitt and his staff. A few days later, he got in some one-on-one time with (arguably) the most prominent Vol of all.

Smalls, rated the No. 1 outside linebacker in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite, was at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio this weekend. Smalls was there representing the World Bowl, a high school all-star game played in Mexico put on in part by the Hall. Smalls got the VIP treatment, hanging out backstage at the Gold Jacket Dinner and other weekend events.

As far as Smalls’ recruitment, it’s worth noting that he did not include UT on a top 12 list of schools he shared in February which remains pinned to the top of his Twitter profile. But, the recent visit prove he is interested and most would say means more than a list posted on social media.

Do you think Smalls asked Manning about what it’s like to spend four years (or in his case, maybe three years) on Rocky Top?
