The Tennessee Volunteers recently parted ways with RB coach Robert Gillespie, leaving an open spot on new coach Jeremy Pruitt’s staff.
Apparently, Pruitt and the Vols have dipped into the JUCO ranks to fill a spot on the staff, as former ASA College head coach Joe Osovet announced he was joining the Tennessee program.
Osovet announced the move on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, as you can see below:

One of the first items on Pruitt’s list should be to tell Osovet it’s “Rocky Top” and not “Rockey Top,” but otherwise, it seems like a good hire.
Osovet was named USA TODAY’s JUCO coach of the year back in 2014 while with Nassau Community College. Sources tell SDS he’ll serve as a quality control coach on Pruitt’s staff, meaning Gillespie’s RB coach position is still open.
