Jabari Small is officially moving on from Tennessee football after declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft on Friday.

Small won’t be joining his teammates in Orlando as Tennessee faces Iowa in the Citrus Bowl. It was reported on Tuesday that Small would be joining fellow running back Jaylen Wright and heading to the NFL Draft. Small finished 2nd on Tennessee with 475 yards rushing this season.

Here’s what he had to say about the move:

“First, I want to thank God for allowing me to be in this position. Without Him, none of this is possible. The opportunities that he has provided me have been nothing short of amazing. … I want to express how this University has made my college football experience truly special,” said Small. “These past four years the support, love, and cheers have made this special and unforgettable. I will forever carry the pride and spirit of the University of Tennessee with me. After much prayer and consideration with my family, I will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Small was an in-state product out of Briarcrest Christian in Memphis, Tennessee. He played in 45 games for Tennessee from 2020-2023 and accounted for 2,118 yards rushing.

The Volunteers take on Iowa in the Citrus Bowl on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
