Jon Gruden now listed as betting option to become next head coach at Tennessee
ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden has now apparently entered the sweepstakes to become Tennessee’s next head football coach, whether he knows it or not.
It’s unclear whether Gruden would have interest in the job, but SEC Network radio host Paul Finebaum was told that Gruden would be the leader in the clubhouse for the Volunteers if they chose to make a change.
It’s important to note that Butch Jones is still the head coach at Tennessee. But the pressure is mounting, and Jones’ seat seems to be just about the hottest one in America at the moment.
Bet Online updated its odds on which coach could become the next leader of the Vols. Gruden is now listed at +2000.
Former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly is still listed as the Vegas favorite at +325.
