Josh Heupel and Tennessee are in a tough battle against Texas A&M, as both teams have missed opportunities to score more.

At the half, the Vols are trailing 10-7. Heupel liked how the Tennessee defense contained Max Johnson and the Aggie rushing offense, as the quarterback has sustained several big hits and limped at times in Neyland Stadium.

“Been real good for most of the first half against the run game and implied pressure to them,” Heupel said to CBS Sports’ Jenny Dell. “Got to continue to do that here in the second half.”

On the other side, though, Heupel was disappointed.

“Moving the football, got to be more efficient in the red zone,” he said. “We kick it, miss it, miss a 4th down opportunity. Got 2 drives that really end up getting stuck because of holding calls. We’ve just got to be more efficient once we get in the red zone. Listen, let’s go play for 60 minutes.”

Tennessee has missed a field goal attempt, had another drive end after 10 plays, while Texas A&M has also suffered a loss on a 4th down play.
