Josh Heupel has a couple of key players with statuses that are up in the air this week in Jaylen McCollough and Cedric Tillman.

McCollough is dealing with a legal issue surrounding his felony assault from earlier in the week.

“We have not done that yet. Our administration is handling most of that. We’ll have a conversation with them as they continue to gather information and have a decision at the end of the week,” Heupel said.

Similarly, Heupel offered the latest about Tillman, who is dealing with a high ankle sprain.

“We’ll continue to evaluate,” he said. “Like I said earlier in the week, that’ll be a decision our medical team and Cedric make. … He continues to progress. We’ll make a decision here as we get closer to game day.”

About the rivalry with Alabama, Heupel said the Crimson Tide was the first rival to be mentioned, although Heupel earlier said it took someone 30 seconds to mention Florida.

“Alabama was the first one that got mentioned,” he said. “… Different people have their thoughts on who our biggest rival is inside our yearly schedule. This is a big game. … Looking forward to the opportunity we have this week.”
