Josh Heupel and Tennessee suffered a crushing loss to Missouri on Saturday, but the Vols are looking to bounce back and pull of a huge upset.

Tennessee will face Georgia at home this week, looking for a signature win before the end of the season. Heupel and company are looking to put the loss behind them and prepare well for this week’s test.

“I think no matter what you do the previous week you gotta put the game behind you,” Heupel said. “Certainly we understand the quality of the opponent that’s coming to town this week. Our guys understand who they are, what they’re about and the way that they’re gonna play. It’ll be a great test for us.”

Last season, the matchup between Tennessee and Georgia was one of the biggest games of the season. Both teams were looking to maintain perfect records in a game that had Playoff implications. Georgia took that game at home. This year’s game is much different. Tennessee’s Playoff hopes are long gone, but the Vols are still coming into the game gunning for a big win.

Heupel understands just how good this year’s Georgia team is and is looking to contain its dominant defense and electric offense.

“They’ve got really good players across the board,” Heupel said. “Defensively, big, strong, athletic. Up front, they can run, they cover extremely well on the back end. They don’t miss tackles. They see them in close quarters and in open space. They tackle extremely well. Offensively, they’ve got dynamic playmakers. A few of those guys are getting back and getting truly healthy right now. The quarterbacks playing extremely well, really efficient and accurate.”
