LOOK: Tennessee fan trolls Butch Jones with GoFundMe fundraising campaign
This just hasn’t been Butch Jones’s week.
Initial thoughts would tell you that last week — particularly on Saturday when his team suffered a 41-0 beatdown to division rival Georgia — would be the worst of it, but then if you think about it, we haven’t even gotten started.
That was made clear on Sunday when someone started a satirical GoFundMe fundraiser to buyout the Tennessee head coach.
The level of savagery in this idea is incredible, and after a rocky start to the season, it’s almost certainly not going to be the end of it.
If there’s a silver lining for Jones, it’s that at this point, no donations have been made. If the Vols suffer its third consecutive SEC loss at the hands of South Carolina this Saturday, that might change, however.
The goal is only $9.2 million away.
