Lyn-J Dixon apparently made it official Friday when several outlets reported that the running back is now back in the transfer portal.

Dixon, who spent his first four seasons at Clemson, transferred to West Virginia in November and spent the spring with the Mountaineers before transferring to Tennessee in August.

He left the program earlier this week with the speculation that he would be entering the portal for a third time in less than a calendar year.

Dixon rushed for 1,420 yards and 13 touchdowns at Clemson. His best years came as a freshman in 2018 (62 carries, 547 yards, five touchdowns) and sophomore in 2019 (104 carries, 635 yards and six touchdowns(.

Tennessee will have four scholarship running backs on the roster when they open the season against Ball State next Thursday on the SEC Network.
