Tennessee center Mack Crowder 'closer to doubtful' for Saturday's game vs. Missouri
Tennessee center Mack Crowder is “closer to doubtful” for Saturday’s game against Missouri, head coach Butch Jones said after Tuesday’s practice. Crowder suffered an ankle sprain during a pile-up in the third quarter of the Vols’ 50-16 win over Kentucky .
“I would say closer to doubtful right now,” Jones said of Crowder’s status for Saturday. “We do anticipate knowing more later in the week but right now I would list him more as doubtful.”
Jones announced Crowder’s ankle injury during an episode of his weekly TV program, The Butch Jones Show, Sunday.
JONES: Austin Sanders has a high ankle sprain. Mack Crowder has a high ankle sprain and we are checking on knee. We will know more this week

Jones added that Tennessee would also evaluate Crowder’s left knee. The redshirt junior has started in all ten games for the Vols. Sophomore Dylan Wiesman, who replaced Crowder last weekend, is expected to make his first college start on Saturday.
