RJ Young released his Biletnikoff Award Finalist predictions after Week 8 action, and Ohio State’s WR Marvin Harrison Jr. sits at the top, but there’s a rising star in the SEC getting attention, too.

Falling behind Harrison in the second spot is Tennessee’s Jaylin Hyatt, followed by Purdue’s Charlie Jones in 3rd. Harrison is joined by another Buckeye, WR Emeka Egbuka, in the 4th spot, while Oregon’s Troy Franklin rounds out Young’s Top 5.

Harrison has been a favorite target of Heisman front runner and Buckeye QB CJ Stroud this season, racking up 598 yards and 10 touchdowns on 38 catches. But, SEC and Vol star Hyatt leads the SEC in receiving yards (769), receiving yards per game (109.9) and receptions per game (5.7). He also leads the FBS with 12 touchdowns, 2 more than Harrison. Hyatt has 7 touchdown catches against Top 25 opponents, while no other receiver has more than 3.

We’ll see if Young’s predictions change as the season progresses.
