Lane Kiffin’s social media activity is close to becoming more than a hobby.

The Florida Atlantic coach and former Alabama offensive coordinator was at it again Wednesday afternoon as he responded to a fan’s response to a Saturday Down South column about possible coaching replacements for Tennessee coach Butch Jones. Kiffin, of course, was the head coach at Tennessee in 2009 before he left for Southern Cal.

Kiffin wrote a series of hashtags about the 2009 win over South Carolina when Montario Hardesty rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns as the Vols wore black jerseys for the first time in 87 years and beat the Gamecocks.

That came before someone pointed out that Kiffin followed a “UT Coach Kiffin” account, and Kiffin responded with “#lol #focusonbama.”

In July, Kiffin did something similar when the Ole Miss job came open after Hugh Freeze resigned.

Given all this activity, you might wonder how much time a college football head coach has on his hands during the season. After all, Florida Atlantic is 3-3 and plays host to North Texas on Saturday.
