It would appear Tennessee is still very much in the hunt to land five-star defensive back Isaac Taylor-Stuart.

The nation’s No. 2 rated corner, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings, recently updated his travel plans to indicate he would visit Alabama Jan. 26-28. That’s an important note because Taylor-Stuart was scheduled to visit Georgia during that time. With the trip to Athens on the backburner, some wondered if the elite California defender would forgo his scheduled trip to Tennessee for Georgia.

Apparently, that’s not the case. Jeremy Pruitt and his Volunteer coaching staff will be the final visit for Taylor-Stuart leading up to the dead period just before National Signing Day. Unless, of course, plans are altered between now and then.

The No. 4 overall prospect from California shared the news on Twitter Wednesday evening:

Considering Tennessee does not have a single cornerback committed to the 2018 recruiting class and may not have a single CB starter returning, the Tennessee staff cannot afford to miss out on any players they see as immediate contributors. Taylor-Stuart would certainly fit that bill. However, identifying his talent was the easy part, now the Vols have to compete with some of the nation’s best programs in order to land his signature.
