Tennessee beats out SEC competition for pledge from 4-star LB out of Georgia
Tennessee is working on putting together a top-15 recruiting class under head coach Josh Heupel, and the Vols added another key piece for the 2024 recruiting cycle Tuesday afternoon.
The player is Jordan Burns, a 4-star linebacker out of Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. Burns’ eventual commitment came down to Tennessee, Arkansas and Vanderbilt after generating over 20 scholarship offers from power programs across the country.

Burns is listed at 6-foot-1.5 and 215 pounds and is rated as a 4-star prospect per the 247 Sports Composite. The system rates Burns as the 34th LB recruit in the country and the No. 47 player out of Georgia.
The addition of Burns brings Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class up to 13 players, a group that is currently ranked 13th nationally by the 247 Sports Team Composite.
