Tennessee men’s basketball won’t play its game against Memphis on Saturday because of COVID-19 protocols within the Memphis program.

Tennessee will now turn its attention to next week at Thompson-Boling for its final game before the start of the SEC play, taking on the Arizona Wildcats on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Some good news is that coach Rick Barnes said the Vols will still hold a scrimmage for fans who have made the trip to Nashville.

Saturday’s game was set to be an exciting in-state rivalry game as 8-2 Tennessee was coming off of a 96-52 win over USC Upstate on Tuesday. Kennedy Chandler notched his first career double-double, scoring 15 points and adding 10 assists. As a team, Tennessee compiled 29 assists—its most in a game since Jan. 4, 2014.
