Kirb Herbstreit was busy prepping for the primetime showdown between Michigan and Wisconsin last Saturday, but he didn’t overlook Tennessee’s stunning win at then-No. 21 Auburn early that day.

What really stood out to the ESPN analyst was the play of sophomore quarterback Jarrett Guarantano on the Volunteers’ go-ahead drive, which he punctuated with a touchdown pass on third and 10. But Guarantano set up the game-changing score with two other impressive plays on the drive, which Herbstreit was eager to point out in a video he tweeted Monday.

“You talk about growing up in one drive?” Herbstreit said. ” … That could be a pivotal point in this young man’s career.”

Guarantano finished Tennessee’s 30-24 win completing 21 of 32 passes for 328 yards and two scores. If Herbstreit is to be believed, his performance on the go-ahead drive could launch Guarantano to even bigger things.
