Texas football added a commitment from Class of 2024 wide receiver Freddie Dubose Sunday, the Longhorns’ first WR commit of the cycle. Hunter Modden also plays WR but is classified as an ATH per 247Sports.

Dubose hails from Spring Branch, Texas, just outside of San Antonio. He chose the Longhorns over UTSA, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Houston, TCU and Utah, to name a few.

The 6-1, 195-pound receiver is Texas’ 5th commitment of the 2024 cycle.

Dubose committed to Texas following an official visit this past weekend. He had a visit to Tennessee scheduled for next week, but it seems he may not be making the trip to Knoxville.

Dubose is considered to be the No. 189 overall prospect in the cycle, as well as the No. 28 WR and No. 36 player out of the Lone Star State.

Below is his highlight tape, via TXFL Preps on YouTube.
