Alvin Williamson Jr., a 6 foot and 180-pound safety out of Cibolo, Texas (Steele), has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Williamson announced a commitment to Vanderbilt, as the 3-star recruit was recruited by Dan Jackson and chose Vanderbilt over Texas Tech and Oregon State among others. Williamson this month visited all 3 of those schools. He has a reported 13 offers.

Williamson is expected to play a cornerback at Vanderbilt, but could play safety or nickel. He is the 6th commit for Vanderbilt in the last week. Williamson joined 3-star prospects Jaren Sensabaugh and Guylijah Theodule as cornerbacks in Vanderbilt’s class.

Williamson is the No. 120 cornerback in the Class of 2024, and the No. 165 player in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Williamson is the Commodores’ 16th commit in their 2024 class, and made the announcement after a recent official visit.
