Morgan, the No. 30 recruit in the state of Tennessee and the 79th-ranked prospect at his position in the 247Sports composite, picked the Commodores over multiple other SEC teams. He held offers from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi State, as well as other Power 5 programs, including Maryland, Indiana, Kansas State, and Arizona.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound tackle stars for Montgomery Bell Academy, just a short drive away from Vanderbilt’s campus. He visited on Sept. 18.
He’s the 17th known commitment for Vanderbilt in its 2022 class and the second this week. The Commodores also hold commitments this cycle from 3-star linemen Levi Harber and David Siegel.

Derek Peterson does a bit of everything, not unlike Taysom Hill. He has covered Oklahoma, Nebraska, the Pac-12, and now delivers CFB-wide content.
