The Vanderbilt Commodores received more bad news on Monday night. Just one day after Ken Seals announced his intention to transfer, another Commodore QB has done the same.

AJ Swann took to social media to announce that he will be entering the transfer portal.

“I want to start off by thanking God for guiding me and for blessing me with the opportunities I have had…With that being said, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal,” Swann’s statement read.

Here’s his post announcing the move:

Swann saw plenty of action in 2022. The QB collected 1,274 passing yards with 10 TDs and 2 INTs in his first college season. In 2023, Swann was involved in a timeshare with fellow signal-caller Seals. Swann threw for 1,457 yards with 12 TDs and 7 INTs.

Swann led the Commodores in passing yards and passing TDs this season.

With Seals and Swann gone, the Commodores have Drew Dickey, Walter Taylor, Brennan Storer, and Hayden Moses on the roster at the QB position. It will be interesting to see what the Dores can do in the transfer portal, as several notable QBs have already entered.

Swann will likely get a chance elsewhere after showing flashes for poor Vanderbilt teams.
