Will Grier or Treon Harris?

Jim McElwain is just like every one of us — he’s trying to figure it out.

Wednesday, however, McElwain laid out his plan for Saturday’s game against Kentucky, as far as the quarterbacks are concerned.

“Quarterback wise, similar to last week,” the first-year coach said, via 247Sports. “We’ll get in, evaluate it, sleep on it, talk about it tomorrow. You know, I foresee both guys playing. Nothing new there. And I think there again, the partnership has been good. I think the team has settled into it.”

When asked if McElwain would stick with the hot hand Saturday, he told the media that’s what he’d like to do.

Treon Harris started the opener, while Will Grier had the hotter hand and finished the game. Grier started the second game, and McElwain let Harris finish the game. So, neither quarterback has won the job yet, and it will likely take a separation performance during a game to make that happen.
