The Florida Gators (3-3, 2-3) are in the midst of their second bye week of the season and struggling to develop any consistency or rhythm on the field. They’ll need this extra week more than ever with a matchup against the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs awaiting them on Nov. 1.

Here are the best and worst numbers for the Florida Gators so far this season.

The Good

82: yard drive by Treon Harris to end the game. As bad as Florida played last week against Missouri, one positive note was the final drive of the game. The true freshman quarterback engineered a 15-play, 82-yard drive that ended with a 3-yard touchdown run by Harris. He still has a long way to go, but certainly an encouraging sign for the Gators moving forward.

20: passing yards allowed. Despite the score, it’s tough to blame the Florida defense. They allowed on 20 yards through the air and less than 100 rushing yards. Missouri scored 42 points, but most came 28 of those points came from defensive or special teams touchdowns.

5: straight passes completed by Treon Harris. While this may not be an amazing stat, it’s something that Jeff Driskel had failed to do since the Gators’ second game of the season. Three of Harris’ five consecutive completions also went for more than 10 yards.

The Bad

6: turnovers by Florida against Missouri. Because the Gators do not have an explosive offense, turning the ball over usually digs them in a big hole. Last Saturday was no different. Despite leading in virtually every offensive category, Florida lost by 29 points because they turned the ball over six times compared to just one Missouri turnover.

120: yards or less. Over the past 10 years, FBS schools that have held their opponents to less than 120 total yards are 147-2. Those two losses? Both by the Gators under Will Muschamp.

14: SEC losses by Muschamp. Saturday’s loss marked the 14th conference defeat for Muschamp. Compared to Ron Zook, the standard for poor coaching performances at UF, Muschamp’s record is much worse. He is 15-14 in three and a half seasons, while Zook finished 16-8 in the SEC.
