  1. The Auburn defense, which ranks 12th in the league in both scoring and total defense, has featured 12 first-time starters through five games this season.
  2. Kentucky DT Cory Johnson has accumulated 30 tackles in the Wildcats’ last two games, including 19 against Eastern Kentucky. You read that correctly: Defensive tackle. 30 tackles. Two games.
  3. The game between Ole Miss and Memphis features teams that combine to score 94.6 points per game, as both the Rebels (46.8) and Tigers (47.8) rank in the Top 5 in points per game among FBS teams.
  4. Mississippi State‘s defense has 49 tackles for loss through six games, which ranks the Bulldogs second in the SEC and seventh in the FBS.
  5. During Alabama‘s last two games, true freshman WR Calvin Ridley has three receptions of 45 yards or more, including an 81-yard touchdown grab against Arkansas in Week 6.

  10. LSU RB Leonard Fournette became the fastest RB to 1,000 yards rushing in SEC history, reaching the plateau during his fifth game against South Carolina last week. It is the fastest any FBS player has made it to 1,000 yards rushing since 2006.
  11. Missouri‘s offense was just 1-for-14 on converting third downs in its Week 6 loss to Florida, which drops the Tigers’ ranking to 12th in the league for the season at a 35.6 percent success rate (31-of-87).

  19. Florida holds a 3-1 record against LSU when both teams are ranked in the Top 10. The Tigers’ lone win in this scenario came at Tiger Stadium in 2007.
  20. Texas A&M will bring the league’s second best passing attack (292.4 yards per game) to face off with an Alabama defense that ranks second in the league at defending the pass (187.2 yards per game).
