Here are the spouses of the SEC East coaches, in order of their husbands’ 2014 division record.

Missy Pinkel, Missouri

Missouri coach Gary Pinkel married Missy Martinette on June 27 in Naples, Fla. Marinette and the previously-divorced Pinkel could often be seen leaving Faurot Field together during the Tigers’ division-winning 2014 season.

Katharyn Richt, Georgia

As long as Mark Richt has been a staple in the SEC East and in Athens, so too has Mrs. Richt. The coach and the former Katharyn Francis of Tallahassee have four children — Jonathan (3/11/90), a senior quarterback at Mars Hill College, David (12/1/94), Zach (5/15/96), and Anya (2/13/97). The Richts are closing in on their 30th wedding anniversary.

Karen McElwain, Florida

Another newcomer to the division, Karen McElwain is trading the Colorado mountains for Florida. While there’s no telling how long they’ll last in Gainesville, they have already purchased a retirement home in Montana. The two met while McElwain was teaching a golf class during his time as a grad assistant at Eastern Washington. The couple has three kids – daughters JoHanna, 23, and Elizabeth, 21, and 19-year-old son Jerret (ages as of Dec. 5).

Barbara Jones, Tennessee

While husband Butch is busy building the Vols into an SEC East contender, Mrs. Jones is taking care of the couple’s young family. They are the parents of three sons: Alex (18), Adam (14), and Andrew (8). No doubt they are big fans of Tennessee’s Nike switch.

Jerri Spurrier, South Carolina

SEC fans saw a fair dose of Spurrier’s wife during Kenny Chesney’s SEC Storied documentary on the Head Ball Coach. Unlike Chesney, though, Jerri tends to only support the team her husband coaches. The couple will celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary on Sept. 14. The two have four children — Lisa, Amy, Steve Spurrier Jr. and Scott — as well as 12 grandchildren. Spurrier Jr. coaches receivers for the Gamecocks and Scott played receiver at South Carolina.

Chantel Stoops, Kentucky

Things seem to be settling in nicely for the Stoops. While her husband tries to help the Wildcats get to a bowl game in the SEC, Chantel landed on the cover of a Lexington magazine. The couple have two sons, Will and Zack.

Leighanne Mason, Vanderbilt

No longer the newest members of the division, Leighanne Mason and her two daughters, Makenzie, 16, and Sydney, 14, must now hope the Commodores can help Derek Mason to his first SEC victory.
